u.WPLC Board Meetings: July 27. Bring a sack lunch.
Bible Study: Pastor Steve is having Bible Study the 2nd Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. EVERYONE IS INVITED!
Freda Evers: The funeral for Freda Evers was held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2008. Rember the family in prayer.
Church Council Meeting: July 9th at 7:30 pm. All PLC members are welcome.
Vacation Bible School: August 5th - 7th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Look for additional information in later Bulletins and Newsletters.
Annual Picnic - August 9th - obtain additional details from the church council and Jackie Schultz.
Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten: A Teacher will be needed for that position beginning in the fall. Contact Jeanette Tammen.
Sunday Fellowship: We will have fellowship after church in July & August after the 8:30 a.m. service. Please bring finger food as weve always done.
Softball: We are invited to Hopes softball game on July 13th, but they werent real sure of the time yet, theyll get back to us.
RICHTER ANNIVERSARY: Mel and Ellen Richter of Great Bend will celebrate their Anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 5 at the Best Western Angus Inn courtyard, 2920 W. 10th. Hosts for the event will be their children, Don Richter, Lynn and Dorothy Richter and Linda and Leon Brady. The couple has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. You are invited.

Church Council: We can purchase large print hymnals for $80 each. The council would like to know if anyone in the church be interested in using one, if so let a council member know. We wont order any unless theres an expressed interest.
JUST A NOTE: With the recent price increases of gas, food, and other items, it has definitely made times tougher for all. But, may we still remember those less fortunate then ourselves in our communities by donating to our Food Banks. We appreciate the generosity that our congregation has shown in the last several months, and may we continue our support. The "item of the month" for July will be laundry soap.
