Our Staff

Vallene Immenschuh, Publisher General Manager of The Pelican Press. Twenty Years in the advertising business and knows that if the advertiser doesn't succeed, neither will the publications. Call on her experience for guidance on ad campaigns. SHE is the serious one of the duo. Carl Immenschuh, Publisher of The Pelican Press. A long time journalist, writer and photographer, there are few businesses he's not familiar with, therefore, when you need a story or promotion or ad campaign, chat with him for the best direction. Vallene and Carl are the perfect team to make a magazine work. Carl likes the public relations aspect, even though SHE has a hard time corraling him long enough to get any work done. Usually refers to Vallene as HER or SHE.
Jason-Elyssia.jpg (159673 bytes) Jason Hardin, one of our three grandsons, is the youngest member of the team and mostly he's our resident computer guru. He is now serving in Baghdad, Iraq. Elyssia & Jason were married shortly before his deployment. He returned in February to see his son Jayden.

ritacolm.gif (20048 bytes) Rita Gagelman, Writer of the column "Looking Back" in Kinsley Graphic and a contributor to The Pelican Press since its inception in November of 1992. For some time she had been living in Texas and Florida, preparing for old age we suppose, but saw the light, for a short time and returned to God's Country. Then, after a jaunt to Florida again she is in Kansas City.... (sadly it's on the Missouri side). Rita has a couple of master's degrees in History and English and does a fine job.. She brings a wealth of knowledge to The Pelican Press.
